The Heart Behind New Now Village
If you haven’t had a chance to learn about New Now Village, we want to introduce you to the incredible community they are building in the Flathead Valley of Montana.
Founded by Nino and Victoria Gabaldon—a sober husband-and-wife team with over 25 years in active recovery—New Now Village was born out of a simple, calling-driven question: How can we love, serve, and build recovery community in the most practical, lasting way?
Their vision is a supportive tiny-home community designed specifically for people walking the road of recovery. Their philosophy is simple: “Living a smaller life to live a bigger life.” Lodging consists of tiny homes and small cabins centered around community accountability, on-site 12-step meetings, shared meals, and practical life skills.
A few things that make their mission so special:
Creating Space for Grace: It is not traditional institutional housing; it is an intentional neighborhood where residents with long-term sobriety walk hand-in-hand with those finding their footing.
The Makerspace & Salvage Yard: They run an upcycling program that takes discarded building materials and furniture and transforms them into beautiful, functional pieces. It is a tangible reflection of recovery itself: taking what the world saw as broken or thrown away, and giving it new purpose and worth through creative care.
The Animal Sanctuary: Providing a place of mutual healing, connection, and responsibility for both people and animals who need a second chance.
How We Can Keep Making a Difference Together
Recovery is about freely giving what was so freely given to us. Iron sharpens iron. When one person or one organization takes a brave step to create safe harbor for others, the rest of us get the privilege of coming alongside them.
